Background in financial product development

Sam is a member of the investment policy committee and is responsible for overseeing the investment and protection planning strategies of Vector clients. Prior to joining Vector, Sam was vice president in the Business Valuation Group at Shenehon Company, and prior to this spent a number of years in financial product development and management with Hartford Life, U.S. Bancorp, and ING Americas. Sam earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas. Sam has earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations, and is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. Sam is an adjunct faculty member at both the University of St. Thomas teaching personal finance to graduate students in the Masters of Business Administration program, and St. Mary's University. Sam is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals Twin Cities Chapter and the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota.
